The
best news the Internet brings common folk is affiliate programs.
Affiliate programs pay commissions for recommending products
or services to others. It’s the best in word-of-mouth
advertising because it rewards mindfulness. Simply
remember to mention companies you like and the outfits will
pay you when someone makes a purchase from your link.

Affiliate programs come in all shapes and sizes. Some are
completely self-serving, existing only for their own benefit.
(The little money they make is probably generated from spam.)
Others either make good full-time businesses themselves or
provide support tools and services for any business. They
often pay on not just one but two tiers of referrals. (Programs
that pay on more than two levels are generally called network
marketing rather than affiliate, but the principle is the
same.)
Below are some of my favorite affiliate programs. Feel free

Communications—Communication
is the circulatory system of business. When it’s flowing
freely, you make money. When it’s clogged, you stroke
or croak. You need both telephone and Internet communications.
1) Local and/or Long Distance
Telephone Service—Lots
of companies pay monthly residuals for referrals, but frankly,
they seldom amount to more than $20 for the life of the
average customer! I’d much rather have a really inexpensive

2) Tollfree Number and VoiceMail—If you're
in business, you need a tollfree number, no question! But
even better than that would be a number that plays a recorded
ad for each caller, offering choices of information streams,
captures their phone number automatically, and patches them
through to you wherever you are, and sends you an email
with their phone number and recorded message! The features
are too rich to enumerate here, the price is right, and
the commissions are generous.
